It appears the rumors were true: NBC announced today that Gwen Stefani will be the new Voice coach. She’ll replace a pregnant Christina Aguilera during the singing contest’s upcoming seventh season, where she’ll sit alongside fellow newbie Pharrell Williams, who has been tapped to replace CeeLo Green. Christina is slated to return for season eight, but she seems more than happy to temporarily cede her spinning chair to the No Doubt frontwoman, tweeting: “So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani!  Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses- xoxo #blondesdoitbest.†Actually, we think Gwen did it best back when she was pink, but to each her own. Welcome, Gwen!
