Back in January, we got our first glimpse of David Wain’s rom-com parody The Came Together. The scene was a perfect send-up of a classic meet-cute, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Today, they released the full trailer on BuzzFeed and it makes it abundantly clear that Wain and co-writer Michael Showalter covered the waterfront. They not only reuse every trope imaginable, they also call out the trope while doing so. And Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler are adorable at pretending to pretend to fall in love. The film comes out in theaters and VOD on June 27. It will undoubtedly make your summer wetter, hotter, and more American. Which is good — we could no longer stand for all your un-American summers.
