Earlier this month, Vulture had Norm Macdonald interview David Spade, and in that conversation, Macdonald learned that Craig Ferguson would be stepping down from The Late Late Show. It was the beginning of his eventual social media campaign to try to get the job. Last night on Conan, Macdonald tried to show off just how great he’d be at it by hosting an entire late-night show in one minute. It’s hard to say if this will help his chances, unless CBS decides to switch The Late Late Show to a one-minute format. If that’s the case, it’s all Norm’s.
