The Flintstones is getting rebooted again. THR reports that Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are producing a full-length, animated Flintstones movie via their company Gary Sanchez. No director is attached, but the script is being written by Chris Henchy, who’s a partner at Gary Sanchez and co-wrote the Ferrell vehicles The Other Guys, Land of the Lost, and The Campaign.
Seth MacFarlane was previously attached to resuscitate the Flintstones franchise. He was developing a primetime animated series reboot for Fox back in 2011, but the network shut the project down a year later after not liking the pilot script.
