Backstage in Milan: Hard Abs and Man-Barrettes
Last week’s Pitti Uomo menswear fair brought occasion for ogling sharp suits and plenty of mankle on the Florence sidewalks, but the view from backstage at the men’s shows in Milan this week was even more drool-worthy. The Cut sent photographer Kevin Tachman backstage at Versace, Prada, Bottega Veneta, and more, where male models were busy curling their hair, applying bronzer to their chests, and showing off very defined abs. Backstage at Versace, men wore barrettes, went shirtless under bubblegum-pink blazers, and even showed off a rather innovative toga-loincloth hybrid. At Prada, models sported jaw-enhancing sunglasses and preppy comb-overs, while Bottega Veneta outfitted their cast in World Cup–worthy headbands.
