Pitti Uomo kicked off last week, and the streets of Florence have been teeming with homages to crisp, classic style, from double-breasted blazers to pocket watches and pocket squares. While sunhats took the cake for the most ubiquitous summer accessory, also worth noting was the number of men carrying clutches in every variety, from aqua-colored camo-print to tasteful floral. And though many opted to keep things simple — white T-shirts and dark-wash denim were everywhere — there were plenty of more playful styles on display, including a black-mesh Prada spoof shirt (substituting the word “Porn” in the iconic logo and paired with a skirt reading “Sorry Prada”), a hickey-inspired neck tattoo, and some iridescent gold socks (and, on the other end of the spectrum, abundant mankle).
