North Korea is growing more and more upset over Seth Rogen and James Franco’s new movie The Interview, which stars the duo as a talk show host and his sidekick who are tasked with assassinating Kim Jong-un (played by Korean-American actor Randall Park). A spokesperson for North Korea’s foreign ministry told the country’s state-controlled news service today that the film’s release will be considered an “act of war that we will never tolerate.â€
Last week, North Korea condemned the movie but said that Kim Jong-Un would probably watch it anyway. Here’s a bunch of other crazy stuff the North Korea spokesperson said about The Interview in the report today:
“The enemies have gone beyond the tolerance limit in their despicable moves to dare hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership.â€
Called the movie “the most undisguised terrorism and a war action to deprive the service personnel and people of [North Korea] of their mental mainstay and bring down its social systemâ€
Accused the US of “bribing a rogue movie maker†to make the movie (it was co-written and co-directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg).
“Those who defamed our supreme leadership and committed the hostile acts against [North Korea] can never escape the stern punishment to be meted out according to a law wherever they might be in the world … If the U.S. administration connives at and patronizes the screening of the film, it will invite a strong and merciless countermeasure.â€
