Here’s a trailer for another film based on a Nicholas Sparks book, called The Best of Me. James Marsden, who stepped in for Paul Walker after his death in November, and True Detective’s Michelle Monaghan star in the Notebook-esque story about two former high-school sweethearts who reunite twenty years later. There’s kissing in the rain, kissing in a lake, kissing in a forest, and some tears, so basically all the good stuff you’d expect from a Nicholas Sparks adaptation. Watch:
