Well, that happened! A few hours into the Tony Awards, host Hugh Jackman started talking about being in a childhood production of The Music Man and did a few lines from the show’s rhythmic opening number, “Rock Island.†He talked about how the song was a predecessor to rap, and then, out of nowhere, brought in LL Cool J and T.I. to join him in actually doing the song as a rap.
