Disney’s Angelina Jolie–starring Maleficent (and its goat eyes) opened to a nice $69.1 million, putting the movie in first place at the weekend box office. That also means that X-Men: Days of Future Past was knocked down a peg for only bringing in $32.6 in its second week out (it has now made a total of $162.7). One-joke wonder A Million Ways to Die in the West also opened this weekend, but in third place, having made Universal $17 million. Godzilla took fourth place with $12 million, putting its cumulative earnings at $174.5 million. Finally, Adam Sandler’s latest (and perhaps most offensive) film rounded out the top five this weekend. In its second week out, Blended made $8.4 million for a two-week haul of $29 million.
