American Gods is now in development at Starz, the network announced today, with Hannibal’s Bryan Fuller and Kings’s Michael Green onboard to write the pilot; Green will also serve as the series’ show runner. Neil Gaiman’s beloved 2001 book was in development at HBO for what felt like forever, though after several stabs, the network eventually cut it loose — but never say never in the world of turning difficult, mythology-heavy novels into serialized television! You have still have a chance, American Gods! We believe in you! (And according to you yourself, that is what it truly means to exist.)
