True Detective’s Cary Joji Fukunaga won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series tonight — at which point all respectable discussion turned to his man-braids. To be fair, there were two of them, and they were beautifully executed, just like that tracking shot you all kept talking about. Anyway, the era of the man-braid has begun. Let it in.
