Variety reports that Bridesmaids director Paul Feig is in talks with Sony about directing a reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise with an all-comedic actress cast. Previously, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Feig would be replacing Ivan Reitman as director of Ghostbusters 3, after Reitman dropped out due to the death of his friend and star Harold Ramis. Variety reports  that Sony is looking for Feig to start from scratch with a new script, rather than start where Reitman had left off. Sony itself hasn’t yet commented on the status of this, or any iteration of ghost busting.
