When the trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens dropped down, many interneters speculated that the narrator was Benedict Cumberbatch, who can do everyone from Jar Jar Binks to Gollum. Well, it turns out they weren’t completely off base. HitFix reports that the voice belongs to Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in the Lord of the Rings films. Serkis has a role in the upcoming Star Wars movie, but the details haven’t been released yet. (A good bet is that it would be another motion-capture performance.) So, you’ll just have to wait, my preciousessss.
