Lifetime’s Aaliyah biopic aired last night to considerable pans. The movie had been wracked with problems from the start, with the family refusing Lifetime rights to the late R&B star’s music, uproar over casting for Missy Elliott, and the original lead, Zendaya Coleman, pulling out. Well, Lifetime powered through and finally aired Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B on Saturday. On Twitter, people chose to express their disappointment in the final product by sharing their own ideas for #LifetimeBiopics. The results are genius:
