Lifetime’s trailer for the upcoming Whitney Houston biopic, Whitney, is here, and the big question is whether it will escape the ridicule that so dogged the Aaliyah biopic. The movie has its fair share of buzz with Angela Bassett at the helm (who does know a thing or two about playing female singers) and America’s Next Top Model also-ran Yaya DaCosta in the lead role, but from the looks of it, things seem a little … rough. The movie airs January 17.
