Gary Glitter
Glam-rock singer Gary Glitter has been convicted of multiple counts of sexual abuse, relating to accusations that he abused three underaged girls in the 1970s. The singer will be sentenced on February 27; he faces life in prison. Glitter has been a registered sex offender in the U.K. since his 1999 conviction for child pornography. He later spent two years in prison in Vietnam, where he had been found guilty of committing obscene acts with female minors. Despite all this, he denies being a pedophile.Â
