Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston will star as the reanimated vigilante Eric Draven, who is resurrected by a crow to exact revenge on the men who killed him and his wife. The Crow creator Jack O’Barr told Dread Central that “Jack Huston has definitely been cast†and that he was “really happy†with the choice. The film will shoot in a couple of months and will be a straight adaptation of his original graphic novel.
Hopefully, Jack Huston will be able to shake off the bad juju hanging over The Crow. The first film adaptation in 1994 starred Brandon Lee — the son of Bruce Lee — who was shot and killed on set in a freak accident. The subsequent films were either critical bombs or resulted in the filmmakers disowning the result. This current remake, too, has already cycled through legal battles and multiple leads, with everyone from Bradley Cooper to Tom Hiddleston to Luke Evans having been attached to the role. Either way, good luck!
