Looks like SNL will no longer just be live from New York: Bloomberg Business reports that Sohu.com has struck a deal with Lorne Michaels to bring the show to China. While the site already streams the U.S. edition of the show in China, this new version will feature a cast of Chinese-based comedians for a show “featuring live music and sketch comedy.†But it’s probably best to assume China won’t be getting the same brand of SNL’s political satire that Americans are accustomed to. (Though they might want to reconsider, given how much the Chinese love House of Cards.)
