Watch the Original ‘Reno 911!’ Pilot That Fox Turned Down in 2001

If you’re a fan of Comedy Central’s Reno 911!, Thomas Lennon has a big present for you. Lennon recently gave Nerdist an exclusive look at three Fox pilots he worked on that never made it to air, including the original Reno 911! pilot he made with fellow The State members Robert Ben Garant and Kerri Kenney-Silver. It’s very similar to the later version that ran for six seasons on Comedy Central and features mostly the same cast, so consider it a special bonus episode.

Lennon also shared two other rejected Fox pilots, a sci-fi comedy called U.S.S. Alabama – described as “essentially Reno 911 in space†with cast members Lennon, Garant, Eddie Izzard, Mindy Sterling, Brandon Jackson, Rob Heubel, and Natasha Leggero – and a sitcom parody called Hey Neighbor featuring Lennon, Garant, Kenney, and Michael Ian Black.
