After a bidding war with Netflix, HBO has struck a deal for David E. Kelley’s new limited series, Big Little Lies, starring Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman. Based on Liane Moriarty’s 2014 novel of the same name, the drama follows “three mothers of kindergartners whose apparently perfect lives unravel to the point of murder.†Both Witherspoon and Kidman will also serve as producers.
