Nearly a year after the New Jersey highway car crash that injured Tracy Morgan and several others and killed his friend James McNair, the SNL alum has settled his suit against Walmart, the company behind the tractor-trailer driver who caused the incident. According to THR, the terms of the settlement between Morgan and Walmart remain confidential, but Morgan’s attorney Benedict Morelli announced that he and Walmart “worked diligently to reach this settlement for the plaintiffs and their families. Walmart took full responsibility for the accident, which we greatly appreciate.†In addition, Morgan released the following statement on the settlement: “Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably.†Morgan is set to give his first interview since the 2014 car crash with Matt Lauer on Monday’s Today show.
