According to Variety, Amy Poehler is in final negotiations to join Will Ferrell in the upcoming comedy The House. They’ll play a married couple who spend their daughter’s college savings, which inspires them to turn their basement into an illegal casino. Comical suburban shenigans will ensue. The script comes from Neighbors’ Brendan O’Brien and Andrew J. Cohen (who is also directing), while Ferrell and Adam McKay will produce. Poehler and Ferrell overlapped for just one season on Saturday Night Live and were last seen together in Blades of Glory, which means that O’Brien and Cohen had better have some Kanye-friendly one-liners ready.
