Kanye’s favorite Grammy-winning musician has forgone his recent melancholic aesthetic and returned to the ironic-loser sense of humor that made him famous. In a Facebook post published on Friday, the psych-folk-alt-rock trouper shared artwork from his new single “Dreams,†as well as a fuzz-laden 15-second clip that could be pulled right off of Mutations or Modern Guilt. Festooned with confetti, a blood-weeping eye, and a trio of orbs that vaguely resembles organs or balloons, the moving, animated art harkens back to the multi-cover release of Sea Change, but without all the sad. Pitchfork reports the art is part of an ongoing project, which you can see more of at Beck’s site.
