Tracy Morgan Gives His First Interview Since 2014 Car Crash: ‘The Pain Is Always Going to Be There’

It’s been almost a year since Tracy Morgan was seriously injured in a car crash alongside friends Ardie Fuqua and Jeffrey Millea that killed his friend and mentor James “Jimmy Mack” McNair, and during this morning’s Today show Morgan gave his very first TV interview since the tragic accident. Morgan told Matt Lauer that he still has good days and bad days and “the case is settled but the pain is always going to be there for Jimmy Mack,” but he also offered some good news for fans who hope to see him back in the comedy game someday: “I love comedy. I’ll never stop loving her. I love comedy and I can’t wait to get back to her, but my goal right now is just to heal and get better cause I’m not 100% yet. And when I’m there you’ll know it. I’ll get back to making you laugh, I promise you.”
