In a statement, Demi Moore reports being “in absolute shock†following the death of 21-year-old Edenilson Steven Valle at her Beverly Hills home this weekend. Valle reportedly drowned at a pool party thrown by Moore’s assistant while the actress was out of town; witnesses say that he did not know how to swim. “The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy,†Moore said, “and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends. I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time.†Valle’s death has been ruled an accident.
