Larry Wilmore Checks in on Ferguson a Year After Michael Brown’s Death on ‘The Nightly Show’

Sunday marked one year since the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri and the resulting Black Lives Matter movement, so Larry Wilmore decided to make a yearly progress check-in on Ferguson during last night’s Nightly Show. Despite all the protests and national attention – not to mention a Department of Justice report confirming that Ferguson cops prey on poor black people for silly “crimes� like jaywalking and overgrown lawns – not a whole lot has changed. “Let’s just sum this up real quick: Police acted up, people protested, government took action, police ignored it, people are protesting again. Or as black people call it, summertime.�
