It’s been over a decade since Kal Penn played the lovable stoner Kumar Patel in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. Since then, he’s been in two more Harold & Kumar films and had an abbreviated appearance on House as well as stints in the Obama White House. But he’s returning to his roots: Hulu has announced that Penn will co-star in the third season of its original series Deadbeat as Clyde, a “stoner entrepreneur extraordinaire and all-around good dude†who becomes the business partner to Tyler Labine’s Kevin “Pac†Pacalioglu, a professional medium. Getting stoned and talking to ghosts sounds like a pretty excellent business plan.
