Lip Sync Battle doesn’t return for its second season until January, but Spike is giving fans of the show something to (yule)tide them over: A holiday special. Vulture has learned the bonus episode will feature actors Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Anthony Mackie — all co-stars of next month’s Christmas comedy The Night Before — battling each other in a holiday-themed hour, with “surprise†guests also set to stop by. (The movie features appearances by Kanye West, Miley Cyrus, and Mindy Kaling, so we’re going to cross our fingers and hope at least one of them is on the guest list.) As with the weekly series, LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen will host the special, which is scheduled to be taped soon in Los Angeles and air November 19 on Spike. Lip Sync Battle has been one of 2015’s most successful unscripted-series launches, dramatically improving Spike’s Thursday ratings and generating massive positive buzz for the previously male-centric network.
