Kal Penn is teaming up with his former Harold & Kumar collaborators for a new comedy at ABC. According to Deadline, Harold & Kumar writers Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz are developing a single-cam comedy for the network called Fair and Balanced, which will center on “an aspiring NPR reporter who is swayed to work at a Fox News-type channel.†Penn will executive produce and star in the project, which will draw from his real-life experiences as a Vice News correspondent, former White House Office of Public Engagement associate director, and other news show appearances.
