Here’s a clip from John Cleese’s visit to last night’s Conan, where he looks back on the life of his mother who lived to be 101 and was an obvious influence for Cleese’s darker humor. According to Cleese, his mother was often depressed throughout her life, so when she was about 92 years old he finally thought of the perfect solution: offer her the chance to be killed. Cleese never followed through on the plan, but the idea of it, at least, cheered his mom up. Check out some more clips from Cleese’s interview below:
