Know how futuristic Neill Blomkamp is? (Tell us!) Neill Blomkamp is so futuristic, his next movie is an adaptation of a book that hasn’t even come out yet! That’s according to Deadline, which reports that Blomkamp is in talks to write and direct a film version of The Gone World, the upcoming novel from sci-fi writer Thomas Sweterlisch (Tomorrow and Tomorrow). The project, described only as “a sci-fi time travel procedural,†would be Blomkamp’s first new film since Chappie bombed and his long-gestating Alien movie was put on hold in favor of Ridley Scott’s version. Good job getting back on that (steam-powered, robotic) horse, Neill.
