One of comedy’s busiest duos is back on IFC again next year. The network announced today that season 6 of Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s Portlandia will premiere on Thursday, January 21st at 10:00pm. The ten-episode season will follow Fred and Carrie as they “contemplate parenthood, big corporations, television theme songs, and ramen noodles†and will feature a load of new and returning guest stars like Louis C.K., Steve Buscemi, Glenn Danzig, Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips, Natasha Lyonne, Moshe Kasher, Jillian Bell, Mitch Hutwitz, Kumail Nanjiani, Alia Shawkat, John Levenstein, Robert Smigel, and Kyle MacLachlan. Fred and Carrie confirmed earlier this year that they’ll continue Portlandia through season 8, which leaves the possibility open to wrap it all up with a big Portlandia movie.
