A week after countersuing seven of his accusers, Bill Cosby has filed a lawsuit against the model Beverly Johnson. He’s suing her for defamation, claiming her accusations that he drugged and attempted to sexually assault her in the mid-1980s (read Johnson’s full testimony here) are false, and that his wife was present at the dinner Johnson says she attended alone with Cosby the night of her alleged assault. Cosby also says in his lawsuit that Johnson is using her accusations against him to “rekindle her career.†Johnson first revealed to Vanity Fair last year that Cosby had drugged her and reiterated her story in a memoir published in August.
