Janet Jackson has paused her Unbreakable World Tour because of an unspecified upcoming surgery. The 49-year-old singer-songwriter issued the update on her social media and website, noting that any affected concert dates would be pushed back and rescheduled in the spring. “Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time,†she wrote. “I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love.†The tour, to promote Jackson’s new album of the same name, began at the end of this summer in Canada. The next Unbreakable destination was supposed to be Denver, on January 9, followed by several more stateside stops until a switch to the U.K. at the end of March.
