Star Wars isn’t big in China for all sorts of fascinating historical and geopolitical reasons, which gives Stephen Colbert the excuse to explain the plot of Star Wars on The Late Show, ostensibly to the people of China, but mostly for silly reasons. Colbert gives about as good a summary as you can of the original trilogy, but we have a few quibbles: Where’s the in-depth discussion of how the Lars family farms moisture? Why do you ignore the fate of the Bothans who died for the rebellion? What about Boba Fett, Stephen? What about Boba?
