Carnegie Hall’s upcoming tribute event “The Music of David Bowie,â€Â announced just hours prior to the music legend’s death on Sunday, has been reconfigured as a memorial concert, Rolling Stone reports. The concert will take place on March 31 at the famed New York City venue and feature performances from the Roots, Cyndi Lauper, and the Mountain Goats, among others, with more undoubtedly to be added in the wake of Bowie’s passing; Bowie’s producer Tony Visconti will lead the band. In a statement on its website, the concert’s organizers called the timing “bizarre.â€
