Clay Aiken Rises Up Against the Machine That Created Him, Tweets Against ‘Boring’ American Idol Judges

From the bowels of American Idol history, season-two runner-up Clay Aiken returns to point out that, yeah, maybe the show has kind of fallen off in its final season. For those old enough to remember, judge Simon Cowell’s acerbic takedowns of trembling young adults became the hallmark of what reality-show judges, and British people, “were†in the early 2000s. According to Clay’s assessment of this season’s premiere, sweetie-pie judges Harry Connick Jr., Keith Urban, and Jennifer Lopez are just not cutting it.
