The end is near for Lena Dunham’s HBO show Girls. The pay network announced today that it’s officially renewed the series for a sixth season, which will also be the final season. Dunham said back in April that season 6 would most likely be Girls’ last, pointing out that “America has a tendency to push shows past their due dates … I like the British model – in and out.†Season 6 will debut sometime in 2017; in the meantime, season 5 is slated to premiere on Sunday, February 12th.
