Netflix has given an eight-episode series order to Haters Back Off, a streaming comedy based on the YouTube character Miranda Sings, created by comedian Colleen Ballinger-Evans. The show will center around Miranda, an incredibly confident, totally untalented star on the rise who fails upward through the power of her belief that she was born famous, it’s just no one knows it yet. Ballinger-Evans’s YouTube channel has more than 5.7 million subscribers, so yeah, haters can back off, but no, please, Jerry Seinfeld, you’re good, you can keep sitting down: Seinfeld had Ballinger-Evans on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and remains a big fan.
