Airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, and many people on them, while looking out the window at a clear, cloudless sky, are able to discern a subtle curvature to the Earth’s surface. Not B.o.B. In dozens of tweets stretching back to the weekend, the Atlanta rapper argues that, contrary to what the government would have you believe, the Earth is actually flat. (His evidence includes “Why is the horizon always at eye level?,†“Why aren’t planes constantly flying into space?,†and “Why can you see Philadelphia from New Jersey?“) Fortunately, America’s science-explainer-in-chief Neil deGrasse Tyson had some spare time this morning, and helpfully dropped in to explain to the “Nothin’ on You†rapper about skylines and Polaris. B.o.B. was unable to respond, as he’d already been burned at the stake by the global Illuminati for revealing the Truth.
Update: B.o.B. has responded with a Neil deGrasse Tyson diss track.
