Watch Kermit and Swedish Chef Perform Shaggy’s ‘It Wasn’t Me’

Shame is a powerful emotion, regardless of whether it’s experienced by human singers or frog puppets. When your lover catches you in flagrante delicto, it’s easy to lose track of what’s important (trust and communication with your partner) and stumble into doing something that only makes matters worse (fibbing about what’s happening).

This is a lesson that reggae-fusion icon Shaggy taught us in his classic banger “It Wasn’t Me,†and it’s also one that Muppet icon Kermit the Frog learned all too well over the course of his time dating Miss Piggy. In this week’s Vulture Remix, video artist Adam Schleichkorn (a.k.a. Mylo the Cat) explores the parallels between Kermit and Shaggy, along with some help from Swedish Chef.

Come back on Mondays for more Vulture Remixes. And in the meantime, check out Schleichkorn’s other installments in the series, like the one where Doug Funnie does Fetty Wap or the one where Miss Piggy does Rihanna.
