Just like fans in Brixton, the Dom Tower in Utrecht is marking David Bowie’s passing through song. On Monday, the 600-year-old tower — home of some of the largest church bells in Europe — unleashed a musical tribute to the late star with a resounding version of Bowie’s 1969 hit “Space Oddity.†(The tower’s bells have previously played Abba, Pink Floyd, and Tubular Bells.) With this, the Dom Tower became the Netherlands’ grooviest piece of medieval architecture — just for one day.
