Yahoo Screen, the web giant’s attempt to become a major player in the streaming wars, is no more: Variety reports that Yahoo has shut down its two-year-old streaming service, which carried everything from SNL clips to a Jacksonville Jaguars game to the prophesied sixth season of Community. Back in October, the company took a $42 million write-down on Yahoo Screen, thanks in part to its expensive original programming. That programming, though, will stay on the site; it will just be scattered to various sections of the Yahoo-niverse, like Yahoo Music and Yahoo TV. Yes, that’s right: Other Space will live on in another space.
