While You Were Sleeping, Kanye Debuted a New Song, ‘Closest Thing to Einstein,’ at a Club; Stop Sleeping

It appears that dragging Bob Ezrin for questioning his genius was not the only thing Kanye West got up to Tuesday night: Because North and Saint’s daddy only pauses for naps in baby stores now, he spent the evening crashing Yo Gotti’s album-listening party a 1 Oak in L.A. to debut even more new music. The eight-minute song, apparently called “Closest Thing to Einstein,†features Sampha, samples Jay Z’s “Where I’m From,†and references everything from his much-talked-about personal debt, gross media speculation about his mental health (“I’m not out of control, I’m just of of their controlâ€), his legacy (“Modern-day MJ with an Off the Wall flowâ€), and racism — essentially, all the same pained self-reflection of The Life of Pablo. Kanye also reportedly addressed his reignited feud with Taylor Swift, sticking to his story that Tay approved his “Famous†line but changed her tune at the Grammys. Once again, he denied Amber Rose’s claim that he enjoys ass play. And you thought your Tuesday night with O.J. was wild.
