Cameron Crowe is going back to his Almost Famous roots with his first foray into television. Roadies is a one-hour ensemble comedy about the music world, seen through the eyes of the unsung backstage heroes who tour the U.S. with the group the Staton-House Band. Luke Wilson and Carla Gugino lead a cast including Keisha Castle-Hughes, Machine Gun Kelly, Ron White, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, and Peter Cambor. Luis Guzmán also guest stars! The production is similarly stacked with My So-Called Life’s Winnie Holzman writing and executive producing and J.J. Abrams as an executive producer. The Mowgli’s sing “San Francisco†in the latest trailer, which is oh so full of heart. The ten-episode first season of Roadies premieres June 26 at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
