At the beginning of (and during) every month, Hulu adds new movies and TV shows to its library. We figure you might want to know about them. For more comprehensive coverage of the best titles available on Hulu and elsewhere, check out Vulture’s What to Stream Now hub, which is updated throughout the month.
I don’t want to wait: Dawson’s Creek (Seasons 1-6)
The WB’s flannel-sheathed flagship show about teens who talk like students in a freshman philosophy seminar and live in idyllic Massachusetts is coming to Hulu. Check back in on pre-prestige Michelle Williams, pre-total-self-parody James Van Der Beek, and, of course, the real stars of the show: Pacey and Joey. For a deeper dive into ’90s-TV nostalgia, check out Party of Five, which also comes to Hulu March 1.
Available March 1.
4 and 3 and 2 and: Broad City (Season 3 Premiere)
Broad City, Comedy Central’s ode to living in a fun-house version of New York, comes to Hulu on a delayed schedule. So if you don’t have a Comedy Central account (or your parents cut yours off and that event somehow became the start of a kooky but charming series of adventures across New York), here’s the chance to catch up.
Available March 9.
A very special program: The Carmichael Show (Season 2 Premiere)(NBC)
An issues-conscious sitcom in the style of Norman Lear (and much funnier than that dry description might suggest), The Carmichael Show was one of the surprise highlights of NBC’s programming last summer. Luckily, NBC’s bringing the show back this spring, and creator Jerrod Carmichael will keep talking about issues that land close to home; he’s said he even has plans for a Cosby episode.
Available March 10.
Clear eyes, full cults: The Path (Series Premiere)
Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul and True Detective’s Michelle Monaghan star as a married couple in the grips of a mysterious cult in Hulu’s latest original drama. The Path is executive-produced by Friday Night Lights’ Jason Katims, and just like its predecessor, it focuses on what it means to be in a community (though a deeply disturbing one, in this case). Plus, for Hannibal fans, there’s Hugh Dancy channeling a darkest timeline version of Will Graham as the charismatic leader of the cult.
Available March 30.
Take my breath away: Top Gun (1986)
If you have a chance to post the volleyball scene from Top Gun, you post the volleyball scene from Top Gun. In other news, the movie’s pretty good too.
Available March 1.
