Beasts of No Nation and True Detective director Cary Fukunaga has a new TV project in the works with some big comedy stars attached. According to Deadline, Fukunaga is set to direct a half-hour dark comedy series called Maniac, and Emma Stone and Jonah Hill will star in the project. Based on the 2014 Norwegian series of the same name, the series centers on “a guy who lives a fantasy life in his dreams but in reality is locked up at an institution.†Both Hill and Stone will play patients in the institution, and they’ll also serve as co-executive producers.
