Daisy Ridley, best known as BB-8’s best friend, Rey, in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is reportedly in the running to play Lara Croft in the new Warner Bros. and MGM Tomb Raider reboot. The role was originally made famous by Angelina Jolie, and though Ridley is just one of many actresses being considered for the role, she might have a leg up because she was in The Force Awakens with Harrison Ford, who was in What Lies Beneath with Michelle Pfeiffer, who did a voice for Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas along with Brad Pitt, who’s married to Angelina Jolie, of course. No negotiations have been made yet, and it’s still really early, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed. Also, Tomb Raider was inspired by Indiana Jones, who was played by, you guessed it, Harrison Ford. This girl’s a shoo-in!

Update: Ridley herself has confirmed she’s being considered for Lara Croft, but that there isn’t a script yet. Still, if someone would kindly just give her the role, she says she’s all in: “I’m waiting for someone to say ‘I want you, let’s do it’ … Absolutely, I’m trying to fill up my calendar.†John Boyega, ultimate fanboy, is of course already cheering her on: “I played Tomb Raider the game, it’s a new take and I think the movies are going to be based on that version. But I texted Daisy [and] was like, ‘This is you!’ and ‘you need to get on that because you could be Lara Croft.’ She should be.â€
