Well, that was fast: Seth Grahame-Smith, the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies scribe, won’t make his directorial debut with The Flash after all. The Hollywood Reporter confirms that creative differences caused a fissure between Grahame-Smith (who was supposed to work on that nonexistent Beetlejuice sequel) and Barry Allen, the fastest guy in the world. The film will still retain the script Grahame-Smith wrote, based off an early treatment by The Lego Movie duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The Flash, which has nothing to do with the pretty good TV show also called The Flash, is slated to hit theaters on March 16, 2018. Ezra Miller plays the very fast superhero; he made a bizarre cameo in Batman v Superman and will appear in next year’s Justice League Part One. You could say we know his velocity.
